Dean Waters
Dean is the Founder and Managing Partner of 5Fold Capital. With more than twenty-five years of diversified capital markets and finance experience, Dean has structured transactions on behalf of companies in a variety of industries ranging from start-up/early stage companies to established Fortune 500 members. During the course of his career, he has structured and placed debt and equity transactions in excess of $7 billion. Dean began his finance career at NationsBank, now Bank of America in the Syndications Group of NationsBanc Leasing Corporation and held successively more senior positions, finishing his tenure as Managing Director of Equity Distributions for Bank of America’s Leasing and Capital Group.

In addition, he helped found the Equipment Finance Division and managed the Capital Markets Group of GMAC Commercial Finance. He later accepted the position of Director of Equity and Debt Syndications at Global Capital Finance and helped start Synovus Bank’s Equipment Finance Group. He has also held senior positions with Stonebriar Commercial Finance, Commerce Street Capital, Growth Capital Services and has experience as the Chief Financial Officer of a publicly traded company.
Dean earned a BS in economics from East Carolina University and an MBA from Wake Forest University.
